Da Wulf Boyz

Well another update on the wolf boys, I am happy to say that the Thunder Wolf Cav unit is finished.

Here are some picks of the last two Thunder Wolf cav conversions as well as a few other models.

So without to much words here is the bare bones Thunder Wolf Cav.

Next is the Thunder Wolf with Storm Shield and Melta Bomb. Of corse since the Orks don't really use Melta Bombs I have used what any good Ork would use and that is a Tank Busta Bomb.

Next is just a simple Grey Hunter. This is what they are all going to look like basically.

Next we have a Wolf Guard with a Power fist, or rather Power Klaw. You'll note the yellow and black markings that marks him out as a wolf guard.

And as always we part with some preview shots of a few projects.

Da Wulf Boyz

Well I promised I would get more pictures up so here it goes. I have three of my Thunderwolf Cav models done for this army.

I am building a 5 man squad. One with Power Fist and Storm Shield, one with a Bolter, one with a Close Combat weapon and one with a Close combat weapon/Melta Bomb and Storm Shield.

Here are the finished Power fist, Close combat/Storm Shield and Bolter Wolves.

So here they are, Da Thunda Boars.

The Korean Konnection - 3

Anyong Haseyo!

It's been a busy 2011 over here in Kimchi land, but I've managed to make some progress.

Here are some quick hits...

1.The Toxovipers are ready to roll out in their ride, The Septic Tank!

2. 1500 points of COBRA, ready to face the enemy! (Grimace just wants milkshakes)

3. Khorne Chaos Lord stands tall over the carnage. But where did the rest of his army go? (hee hee hee!)

4. A departure from the COBRA scheme, this Vendetta is painted to match the local fighter jets. If you look real close, you can see the ROKAF decals.

Da Wulf Boyz

Ok guys the holiday season is over, I was very burnt out on 40k I have to admit I pushed really hard at the end of 2009 and all through 2010. I went to probably 20 tournaments in that time including round one and two of the 'Ard Boys. Finished my Eldar army which has now included 13 Grav tanks of various sorts and then when the Blood Angel Book came out I pushed hard on it.

So I want to get back into this blog and back into showing you guys what I have actually got going on with my Wulf Boyz project, for those that don't know that is my project to create a Space Wolf army using Orks converted up. I am going to go into the story behind the army at a later date, for now lets have an update. This'll be a big one to get people interested in the project since I haven't shown much off about this army yet. So without going on and on lets show off some Wulf Boyz

First picture here you have seen the one Ork before he was the first test ork I did. These are two Long Fangs, or for me Da Long Teef. They have Missile Launchers.

This next guy is one of my favorites. This would be a Grey Hunter with a Wolf Standard. What I did was take what was a classic Space Wolf picture and orkify it. It is very hard to see in the picture but I also spelt out the word wolf in Ork glyphs on the bottom of the flag.

Next we have a Grey Hunter with a Power Weapon. In the last picture I tried to lighten the photo so you can see the axe head. I put a blue hue over it to simulate there being energy around it.

That's all I have for today, but I will leave you with a preview of what will be next...

Terrain and your Game board

Recently while playing games I have noticed that there have been some fantastic times had on themed tables. That being where all the terrain pieces have been picked because a story can be told whilst fighting across it or through it in some cases.

Some ways of putting a theme to your terrain is by making it simply matching your game board ( or mat). Other ways would be to set up a ruined city with mostly building terrain and ruins, with ruined barricades. You could even set up roadways into the area and such.

Another way is to set out low lying terrain, like hills, smaller outpost buildings and forest... this could represent an Agri-world or primitive civilization that has been caught in the midst of battle.

Terrain can be as simple as foam hills, or green cloth set over books, use household materials to manufacture your own terrain, like generators, or buildings. Cereal boxes, foam core and Styrofoam packaging from electronics can make great pieces or terrain.

Battered and destroyed models can also be converted into battlefield terrain pieces, and can look fantastic. Or you can go the route of buying terrain from a varied assortment of companies like Games Workshop, Armorcast, and a few others I cannot remember the names of. Some come painted and ready to go right out of the box, alternately you can build the terrain kits and paint them to your needs much like I am doing at the moment. One of my goals for this year is to paint all of my mainstay terrain projects that I have started, starting with this one :

This is what I have been able to accomplish thus far:
